Want a productive break in the middle of the week? Check out the NextFab Happy Hour featuring Arrow Electronics on Wednesday, August 15, from 6 – 9 p.m.

The event, which is free and open to non-members, will include an informal presentation by Jim Mergen of Arrow Electronics on how to bring an electronic product from prototype to market. Scott Keeley, NextFab member and patent agent, will also share advice on how and when to patent a design (ideally, before someone swipes your idea).

Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with the makerspace’s members and staff, as well as others in the Delaware maker community. If you’ve considered joining NextFab – which opened its location in Wilmington last summer – this is a good way to check out what they have to offer.

(The Philly-born makerspace is plotting a big expansion to its North Philadelphia presence. A 21,000-square-foot location is expected to open late next year.)
