The Vinetta Project’s D.C. chapter continues its Venture Challenge this month, bringing together female founders to pitch and get feedback from investors.
The second round of semifinals for 2018 will be held June 20 at Booz Allen Hamilton‘s Innovation Center. The event will feature four pitches, with two moving onto the finals in the fall.
Earlier this year, Danya Sherman of KnoNap and Crystal Icenhour of Aperiomics earned spots in the finals.
For this round, Vinetta Project received 90 applications. Here are the four semifinalists pitching at this month’s event, with company descriptions via their websites:
- Kimberly Moore, GoTogether: The company created Carpool2School, a product “innovating the ways parents, schools, teams safely get their children to be successful in life.”
- Dawn Musil, HiveLend: A platform connecting local beekeepers with farmers who rent hives.
- Ronit Avni, Localized: A platform built for professionals who want career guidance from experts. The multilingual platform offers mentorship and group learning.
- Dipanwita Das, Socero: The company offers tools to help find answers at work using artificial intelligence and training solutions.
