Downtown D.C.-based VariQ, a cybersecurity firm and federal contractor, is expanding its footprint in Rockville, Md., where it will create 250 new jobs.
“VariQ has consistently ranked among the fastest-growing private companies in the country and we are proud to support their expansion here in Maryland,” Gov. Larry Hogan said in a press release Monday.
The company’s move to larger digs is backed by a $280,000 conditional loan from the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, as well as a $100,000 conditional grant from the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development.
