As state legislators discuss legalizing ridesharing, Uber has launched a campaign of its own. The company sent out an online petition Monday in support of uberX.

uberX is the cheaper Uber service that’s not allowed in Philadelphia. Instead of licensed black car drivers, the service features regular drivers using their own cars.

The uberX petition has racked up over 40,000 signatures, as of this writing.
