Baltimore-based real estate developer The Cordish Companies is teaming with Comcast Spectator to build a new office tower in Philadelphia.
Pattison Place will be located near the city’s sports stadiums in South Philly. The tower will include 200,000 square feet of new construction, with Class-A office space, 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and panoramic views of the city’s skyline. A groundbreaking on the $80 million project is expected to take place next year, our sister site Technical.ly Philly reports.
It’s an extension of work between The Cordish Companies and Comcast Spectator, a sports and entertainment subsidiary of the communications giant which also owns Philly’s Wells Fargo Center. The companies are partners on nearby XFinity Live!, which opened in 2012. A release states that it’s the first of “several announcements” on expansion for the area, which has food and public gathering options near the stadiums.
The brand is the same found at Power Plant Live! in downtown Baltimore, where Spark Baltimore is based.
“It is incredibly exciting for The Cordish Companies to grow our partnership with Comcast Spectacor to deliver a signature, Class-A office tower in the heart of the Philadelphia Sports Complex,” Blake Cordish, principal of The Cordish Companies, said in a statement. “Pattison Place will offer first class amenities in an unparalleled location amid Philadelphia’s professional sports teams.”
