Discover emerging trends with local tech leaders on May 20

Want a little taste of the future of tech?
Technology Forum of Delaware is launching an annual celebration of the top leaders in Delaware’s tech scene called Top Technology Trends, happening May 20 at the Capital One Building in Wilmington.
Over 250 Delaware technologists, entrepreneurs, innovators and futurists will be in attendance. The event is set to be the Tech Forum’s largest of the year.
“Every year, consultants and tech experts predict the tech trends that are changing the world,” said George Rotsch, board member and event co-organizer of the Tech Forum. “We want to spotlight the Delaware tech leaders and innovators who are participating in these trends.”
Strategic Foresight Investments founder and futurist Jim Lee will be delivering a keynote address, followed by demos and presentations from technologists and innovators from the University of Delaware, Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children (demonstrating how their emergency care technicians use Google Glass) and more.
“A panel of experts, including Delaware’s only professionally-trained futurist, selected the honorees. You will be amazed at what is happening in our tech community,” said Jennifer Kmiec, a board member and event co-organizer.
Expect to hear talks on the following trends in technology:

• Internet of Things
• 3D printing
• Clean tech
• Tech applications in banking and retail
• Analytics, big data and cloud computing
• Immersive content and gamification

“The members of Tech Forum have identified some of the most innovative, impactful and forward-looking technologies being developed and deployed right here in our community,” said Rotsch. “We will honor and spotlight innovators in more than 10 trends and introduce over 30 leaders in our community.”
Event registration is $40 for future members and $25 for current members.

The event is sponsored by Capital One. According to the Tech Forum, representatives from the bank will be looking to recruit attendees for IT and managerial positions.
