To build great communities today, you need the reach of the web and the glue of the people. We at Technical.ly like taking part in such collisions.
So, as we’ve grown the monthly Technical.ly Podcast (subscribe on iTunes or Stitcher), it’s time for our first live recording — Wednesday, March 25 from 6-8 p.m. It’ll serve as this year’s preview of the fifth annual Philly Tech Week presented by Comcast (April 17-25).
Get tickets ($20)
The theme of the March event will be “Innovation Legacy,” or an exploration of how the tech communities being built around the country today will last.
There will be live music, storytelling and a special dance performance by the people who created “GPS Bodies” for last year’s Philly Tech Week. We’ll have an audio timeline, a look at why founders choose where to grow a business and a look at the challenges of making tech communities more diverse. Then we’ll close things out with a reception — we’ll have good beer to consume.
The show will feature many of us at Technical.ly, including Editor-in-Chief Zack Seward, lead Philly reporter Juliana Reyes and myself. We’re getting production help from “Fresh Air” producer John Myers, who also does freelance audio work on the side (check out his website for more info).
We’ve never done this before. We want you to be there. Please, join us.
