A local company went to the West Coast — to make an acquisition.
MailerMailer, a Rockville-based provider of email marketing tools, announced Thursday its plans to purchase an arm of San Diego-based Domainate.
MailerMailer has “entered into a definitive agreement” to buy Listcast, the domain broker’s email list management service, for an unspecified amount according to a press release.
“It’ll help us reach out to more small and medium-sized businesses,” said CEO Raj Khera, “especially in high-volume pricing.” The Listcast users will join MailerMailer’s roster of customers, which also includes nonprofits, government agencies and political candidates.
Previously, Domainate had contracted MailerMailer’s marketing services for those users.
Founded in 2001, the company has in recent years sought to focus on its “core business” of email and content marketing, added Khera.
