‘Really Good Elevator Music’ project from Yowei Shaw [LISTEN]

Sound can change emotion and stimulate action, so let’s use it for ‘pro-social’ community building.

That’s the experiment of ‘Really Good Elevator Music,’ a collection and installation of crafted sound for public places currently on display in a handful of buildings in Callowhill (including the Wolf Building that houses Azavea) and organized by freelance audio reporter Yowei Shaw, who has done work for NPR, WHYY, WXPN and the First Person Arts podcast.

Come to their listening party March 14 from 6 to 8pm at the Asian Arts Initiative, 1219 Vine St. You also can listen to some of the music right now from the website.
