Out of more than 100 applicants and 16 company pitches, SAP (systems, applications and products), a leader in enterprise application software, selected seven HR tech companies to be a part of its winter cohort. Over the next three months, these companies will work with SAP SuccessFactors, a large cloud human capital management provider, to scale their companies. The startups will have access to curated mentorship and exposure to SAP tech and APIs, as well as opportunities to collaborate with SAP customers who can benefit from their solutions, a press release states.
“We are excited at the opportunity and privilege to partner with these amazing ‘rising stars’ of the next-gen HR ecosystem, and to support them by bringing the best of SAP to bear, as they build innovative solutions that deliver high value to SAP customers,” said SAP.iO Managing Director Ram Jambunathan said in a statement.
After being founded in 2017 and launching its platform in November 2018, RallyBright also participated in the Annapolis-based FounderTrac program last year, where the company spent 12 weeks attending sessions and working through a curriculum focused on various aspects of building a business like idea validation, sales and product development, our sister site Technical.ly Baltimore previously reported.
RallyBright was the only East Coast company selected for SAP’s accelerator, with the rest being headquartered on the West Coast. RallyBright’s CEO John Estafanous told Technical.ly that the company’s core team is splitting time between D.C. and San Francisco during the program, with plans to leverage their time on the West Coast to raise RallyBright’s seed round of funding.
“It feels great to be the only East Coast company selected. “It’s a great fit for RallyBright with SAP SuccessFactors and our mission to build better teams at work,” Estafanous told Technical.ly. “We’re leveraging the SAP.iO program to scale our enterprise sales and integrate with SAP Success Factors.”
The accelerator program will conclude in April 2019 with a demo day in San Francisco.
