Richelle Parham, a general partner with Baltimore-based Camden Partners, has been appointed to the board of directors at Best Buy.
The appointment comes two years after Parham, 50, joined the Inner Harbor private equity firm. Parham previously served as vice president and chief marketing officer eBay, and also held leadership roles at Visa, Digitas and Citibank.
In Best Buy’s announcement, CEO Hubert Joly pointed to Parham’s expertise in personalized digital marketing and ecommerce as strengths that will help the consumer electronics retailer.
“I am delighted to join the Board and look forward to working with Hubert and the other directors as Best Buy continues to execute on its vision to enrich people’s lives through technology,” Parham said in a statement.

Arnold Packaging added a new member to the automation division it rolled out last year.
Kevin McHenry joined the Baltimore-based company as automation engineer. The hire comes after Arnold signed a distribution deal with Ready Robotics to distribute the Port Covington–based startup’s TaskMate platform, targeting small and medium-sized manufacturing outfits.
According to Arnold, McHenry will be tasked with designing systems to integrate the TaskMate with existing equipment, and designing custom solutions.
McHenry has heavy-duty experience in design and manufacturing. He previously worked with White Marsh–based Better Engineering, where he designed a 30,000-pound capacity washer with a 15-ft. diameter turn table.

A digital speech-language pathology company hired the former CIO of a pair of the U.S. government’s largest health agencies to head up its U.S. expansion.
Frank Baitman was named U.S. General Manager of NiNiSpeech, which helps people with speech and language disorders through a tech platform and links to a network of providers.
Already having a presence in Europe and Israel, the company is looking to operate out of Baltimore as it expands into the U.S.
Baitman, who is based in Baltimore, previously served as CIO of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Woodlawn-based U.S. Social Security Administration. Now he will oversee the company’s operations in healthcare and education.
“It’s time for 40 million Americans, suffering from communication disorders, to benefit from new models and technologies offered by the digital health revolution, and NiNiSpeech is well-positioned to bring dramatic change to speech-language therapy,” Baitman said in a statement.
Baitman and NiNiSpeech founder Dr. Yair Shapira have been hitting the ground.
“You’ll see our presence grow over the coming months, as we make decisions about how we’ll make the NiNiSpeech solution available in the US, and what resources we’ll need to successfully launch in the Mid-Atlantic and beyond,” Baitman said in a follow-up email.
