New podcast alert: Sister-and-brother duo Karin Wolok and Yariv Wolok are behind a new show called “Rubbing Elbows” which explores how folks network and make friends in tech and entertainment.

You might recognize Karin Wolok as a former Female Professionals Collective organizer and Data Jawn participant. She also worked as the director of business development and marketing for Philly startup CandiDate, and led VIP services for Live Nation. She’s now the head of developer marketing and community for Mountain View-based analytics company StarTree.

Yariv Wolok joins the pod with his experience as a product owner and architect at Cigna and cofounder of Flyers Nitty Gritty. In their first six episodes, the pair dive into interviews with Live Nation music exec Michael Grozier; the director of marketing for Shady Records (rapper Eminem’s label), Alvon Miller; entrepreneur and investor Kyle Asman; serial entrepreneur and film, media and tech investor Jon Gosier; multi-media personality Mina Llona; and touring percussionist Aaron Draper.

Below, check out the video of their conversation with Gosier, a recent Philly-to-Atlanta transplant. ( just profiled that move here.) In the episode from last month, he explains his career trajectory through the entertainment industry, from founding his software company AppRica in Uganda to eventually becoming a tech investor.

“You don’t have to solve all problems for everyone,” Gosier shares in a snippet of advice. “Solve the problems for the people that you can, and someone else will solve the rest.”
