There will be a ‘drone zone’ at this year’s New Castle County Ice Cream Festival

Attendees can gorge on frozen treats while watching themselves gorge on frozen treats from an aerial perspective.

Drones and ice cream. If you’re not lactose intolerant and/or frightened by flying remote-controlled machines, can you imagine a better combination?
This year’s New Castle County Ice Cream Festival, held June 27-28 at Rockwood Park, will feature none other than a “drone zone.”
Umm, what?
According to the News Journal, attendees will not only have the opportunity to gorge on frozen treats all day, but they’ll also be able to watch themselves gorge on frozen treats — all from the aerial perspective of quadcopters flying overhead. The footage will be displayed on screens for all to enjoy.
