Amazon is adding over 500 new jobs to its Middletown location. The fulfillment center will soon employ about 2,500 workers.
According to the News Journal, that’s greater than the combined total population of Townsend and Odessa.
“I was thrilled when they reached 1,500,” said Middletown Mayor Kenneth Branner. “This is even better. It means more jobs for residents and a big boost to the economy.”
The 1.2-million-square-foot Middletown Fulfillment Center, which opened in 2012, is one of only six Amazon locations in the country that hosts tours to the public.
