Connecticut-based venture capital firm Oak Investment Partners invested $75 million in Maryland-based companies in 2013.
It was the most money invested by a venture capital firm in Maryland-based companies in the last year, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.
The other top five were Chicago-based Sandbox Industries, Virginia-based Third Security, Connecticut-based JH Whitney and, of the most homegrown, Woodbrook Capital based in Towson, which put $27.8 million into Maryland companies.
