LivingSocial hires Rosetta Stone’s Nick Macey

Macey will be LivingSocial's first head of product.

LivingSocial announced it has signed on Nick Macey as senior VP and head of product, a new role for the company.

“In addition to leading the product team to optimize customer experience for our existing platform, Nick also will spearhead our new initiatives to spur product innovation and accelerate our move toward becoming an experiences marketplace,” CEO Gautam Thakar said in a press release Tuesday.
Macey formerly worked as CPO of Rosslyn-based Rosetta Stone from its San Francisco office.
In May, LivingSocial also appointed Atul Kavthekar, of Sears Holdings, as its new CFO.
