Video games were originally developed strictly for fun, but it’s increasingly apparent that the principles at play have implications for lots of industries looking to engage users and solve problems.

A May 22 panel discussion organized by General Assembly D.C. at Alley powered by Verizon is delving into gamification, and what industries it’ll spread to next. The free event, titled “The Power of Play: Behind the Scenes of the Gaming Industry, runs 6:30-8:30 p.m.
