Jaci Tomek spent the last two decades working in cybersecurity, most recently as vice president of corporate strategy and sales at LookingGlass Cyber Solutions. Now she’s starting her own company, and wants to improve the revenue of tech clients with Tysons Corner-based TomahawX Technologies.
Tomek said the new company isn’t your usual sales consultancy firm.
“Truly meeting clients where they are is an art,” she told Technical.ly DC. “With a growth hacking mindset, TomahawX seeks the fastest means to market, whether it is process, message or making direct calls to prospective buyers. TomahawX offers a unique network of existing and growing relationships, enabling introductions of emerging or proven technologies to desired markets, end users and partners.”
Tomek will apply her own experience establishing relationships that led to sales. Her credits include a four year stint as vice president and director at iSIGHT Partners, and before that she worked her way up from a sales position to the vice president of federal sales at cybersecurity firm NetWitness, which saw revenue increase from $1.6 million to $25 during her four year tenure.
The company is also looking to work with businesses to add new cybersecurity technology. She’s gained the trust of Amit Yoran, CEO of Columbia, Md.–based cybersecurity firm Tenable.
“I have worked with Jaci for 20 years, and TomahawX is now an authorized reseller of Tenable,” Yoran said in a statement. “Jaci’s combination of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills elicits deep confidence in the individuals she interacts with and the organizations she advises as she helps them transform their security programs.”
Tomek said her firm is looking to work with businesses “when acceleration and growth are most paramount. This might take place in their first phases of business, more established phases, or even prior to product launches. Cyber security professionals stay close to TomahawX to keep abreast of the technologies of tomorrow, and the ones they need to implement today.”
