Cabin fever? Check out indoor disk golf at Twin Lakes Brewery

Every Thursday evening in January (including tonight!), the tasting room becomes an indoor disk-golf course.

Twin Lakes, the formerly Greenville-based brewery now located in Newport, is making the most of an uncommonly cold winter with weekly “Tasting Room Disk Golf.”

Every Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., a course is laid out across the tasting room and adjacent hallways, where players can play free just for fun, or pay $5 to play competitively for prizes. Looks like the snow has died down. Why not give it a shot tonight, Jan. 4?

The rustic-modern tasting room opened in 2016, after an internal shakeup shut down the bucolic Greenville location and halted production of the popular Twin Lakes IPA. Now located in an industrial park on East Marsh Lane in Newport near the Tile Market, the brewery offers a range of locally influenced brews like Caesar Rodney Golden Ale, Tweeds Tavern Stout and Winterthur Wheat.

Twin Lakes has quite a few grownup indoor activities this month to go along with their tastings, including live music every Wednesday, a fitness bootcamp (with beer) on Jan. 7 and a craft workshop (with beer) on Jan. 18. Click here for a full list of Twin Lakes events.
