If you’re considering a logo or interested in hand-lettered design, mark your calendar for Friday, March 24. House Industries’ Ken Barber will lead a workshop for hand-lettered logos in Yorklyn, Del.
The workshop will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and it’s open to all levels of skill. The $400 ticket will get you one of the 18 spots in the class, a tote filled with “House Industries Goodies,” lunch, materials and a private studio tour.

The ad for the daylong class says that students will learn “to design and apply effective word-based marks for personal and professional use.” The workshop is entirely analog, too, so that means you won’t work with any vector drawing software throughout the day.
Great logos can set the tone for any business, and House Industries says custom, hand made lettering “allows for the creation of truly unique identities.”
