Last week’s NET/WORK Baltimore made it clear that there are plenty of Baltimore tech companies hiring. Along with some new swag, we left with a better idea of the kinds of jobs that are out there. In that spirit, here’s a look at what’s available from Technical.ly’s jobs board and around town.

###

Freshly made a big announcement earlier this month that will bring a new facility and 500 jobs for Howard County. An effort to fill one of the leadership positions emerged with the posting for a VP of Manufacturing Operations. It’s a role that oversees multiple sites for the healthy meal delivery startup, and implementing lean methods that improve efficiency.

BurnAlong is looking for a mobile developer to help “fine tune” its iPhone and iPad app. When we caught up with cofounder Daniel Freedman in December, the company just moved into new offices at Foundry Row. The company’s posting says it puts an emphasis on a good match for the team over merely checking the boxes of the job description.

Connections Education is one of the companies at the heart of Baltimore’s edtech history. The Pearson-owned company continues to operate out of Harbor East. They’re hiring a Senior Director of Multimedia Standards and Design to oversee audio-video, instructional, graphic designers and developers.

We appreciate efforts to make jobs stand out. Perusing openings after NET/WORK, we saw Mind Over Machines labeled some of their open jobs as “HOT.” Some have one exclamation point, while others have more. If there’s a method to that system, it would make the Lead IT.NET/Application Architect opening the hottest of the hot, clocking in at a fiery three exclamation points. It’s a senior position, and just one of the benefits is the freedom to “paint your own picture.”

There’s a chance to put dev and data skills for public health at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. The School of Medicine Department of Epidemiology is hiring a senior data engineer to work on informatics innovation.
