WHO’S MAKING MOVES?

Opower is partnering with Oracle Utilities to make the utilities’ analytics platforms compatible with Opower’s platform. “Working with Oracle is indicative of our commitment to making the Opower platform more intelligent, more flexible, and more personal, to support our utility partners in delivering significant value for their customers,” Alex Kinnier, SVP of Product at the Arlington-based Opower, said in a statement.
Funny or Die is opening a D.C. branch at 1776. It will be led by former White House staffer Brad Jenkins. Seriously.

WHO’S GETTING FUNDED?

Reston-based Cloudistics, a stealth-mode cloud technology startup, has raised more than $700,000 from a prospective $1 million round, according to an SEC filing.
The Cipher Online, a D.C.-based media startup that will deliver national security news to a business readership, raised $1.3 million.

WHO’S GETTING BUZZ?
