These 3 Baltimore founders are on Forbes’ 30 Under 30

The first big 2017 list is in right out of the gate with Forbes’ 30 Under 30.
The national list spotlights a total of 600 standouts, with 30 people chosen in 20 categories. Young movers apply, and each category has a panel of judges that decides who’s in.
The site wasn’t searchable by geography, but our manual scan shows Baltimore’s startup community had three founders on the list this year. None are over the age of 25.
In social entrepreneurship, Evan Lutz of Hungry Harvest got a nod. Around this time last year, Lutz was about to appear on Shark Tank. The company that delivers surplus and unused expanded following its deal on the ABC show, and earned more national recognition in the process. That deserves an ugly produce emoji.

Fusiform founders Param Shah and Alex Mathews are featured in the Manufacturing and Industry category. The Accelerate Baltimore and JHU Social Innovation Lab grads were also pinpointed as “Dorm Room Founders,” as they started developing a platform for orthopedics at Johns Hopkins before moving into Impact Hub Baltimore.
