Along with a brief history of the mobile device repair startup, which closed a $1.4 million seed round in March and now counts 12 full-time employees, CEO Luke Cooper encourages entrepreneurs to focus on validation in the early stage:

In the beginning don’t think about the logos, names, titles, and all the billions your product is going to make. Instead, focus on validating every single assumption you are making in the business. We make lots of foundational assumptions about our ideas and tend to focus on only the last few final steps before launch. This is a mistake.

Since it’s an American Airlines magazine, he also talks about taking flights to nail down business.
