Career Professional Executives Networking Group (CPENG), a membership-based nonprofit that’s been connecting executives in south-central Pennsylvania since 2014, is launching its first chapter in Delaware.

CPENG Newark will hold its first meeting at the Dawn Career Institute on March 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Going forward, the meetings will be held at DCI on the fourth Thursday of every month, facilitated by Ed Samuel, the founder of SamNova, a career coaching and job search services firm in Kenneth Square.

CPENG meetings include a mix of members and guests, with a goal help members develop high quality business contacts. Qualified members have executive management experience or at least five years of middle management experience. If qualified, you can attend two meetings as a guest to see CPENG in action before becoming a member.

The move to Delaware was a natural next step for CPENG.

“The leadership always envisioned growing into surrounding areas, but wanted slow and steady growth to ensure that the existing chapters were strong and flourishing,” said Anna Weidmayer, CPENG’s communications director. “CPENG now has six strong Pennsylvania chapters. The expansion into Newark comes as a result of professionals living and working in that area having advised that the area is underserved in terms of networking opportunities for mid-to-senior level executives.”

The CPENG chapter in Newark will serve business professionals in Delaware and Cecil County, Md.
