Happy Fall, Philadelphia.
All the signs of the changing season are here: Cool, crisp weather, the Phillies winning the NL East, Ignite Philly and a late-game collapse by the Eagles defense.
This week: get enlightened over beer, get demoed before beer and just drink beer.

Ignite Philly 8 – We can hardly believe Ignite Philly is in its eighth iteration, as we’ve (almost) been there from the very start. If you’ve never been to Ignite, a handful of speakers are given five minutes to talk about their one great idea. Presentations in the past have ranged from abolishing I-95 to urban farming. Thursday. 7:00 p.m. Fishtown. RSVP.
Philly Tech Meetup – At Philly Tech Meetup, local entrepreneurs demo their projects and startups. Shortly after everyone grabs a beer. What’s not to like? This week: see three demos including a company made of up ex-Venmo employees. More coverage later this week. Wednesday. 7:00 p.m. University City. RSVP.
Joomla Meetup – Lately, Philadelphia has been a Drupal and WordPress kind of town. The Joomla folks strike back with a casual happy hour at Triumph Brewery. Wednesday. 6:00 p.m. Old City. RSVP.
