Eaton DC, a coworking space and hotel focusing on progressive social change, is hosting a weekend-long celebration of women Jan. 18-19 with events in the hotel wing of its K street location.
The free, public events will take place at 1201 K Street NW, the first and flagship property from Eaton Workshop. The weekend aligns with people swarming into D.C. for the Women’s March on Saturday. Complimentary poster-making supplies will be available for guests attending the march.
Eaton DC said it is hosting this series of events to spark conversation, ignite change and celebrate the achievement of women as part of its commitment to women’s rights and gender equality. Technical.ly DC previously reported about the launch of Eaton House last year that was brought to D.C. by Hong Kong entrepreneur and activist Katherine Lo, the founder and president of Eaton Workshop. Eaton Workshop is a purpose-driven company and creative lab working at the intersection of culture, media, hospitality, wellness, and progressive social change.
Events will kick off on Friday, Jan. 18 with a panel titled Women Leading the Future of Sustainability, followed by a screening of She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry in partnership with Lady Parts Justice League.
Veronica Dudo, news anchor at WJLP-TV in New York, will moderate Friday’s discussion. Panelists include:
- Bineshi Albert, founding board member, Indigenous Environmental Network
- Joan VanDervort, member of Center for Climate and Security Advisory Board
- Lisa Song Sutton, J.D., named the Top 10 Social Entrepreneur to Watch by Inc. and former Miss Nevada.

Eaton DC’s rooftop music venue and bar Wild Days will host celebratory events with an all -female musical lineup. Wild Days will feature a specialty cocktail with proceeds going to Collective Action for Safe Spaces, an organization working to eliminate gendered harassment and assault in the D.C. area. All events are open to the community.
