That DNA test giveaway scheduled for Sunday’s Ravens game was postponed

Sunday’s home opener was supposed to mark DNA Day at M&T Bank Stadium.
However, a planned promotional giveaway of DNA tests didn’t go forward as planned. Hours before the Baltimore Ravens game on Sunday morning, the plans were sidelined. It seems officials wanted some additional answers from Boston biotech firm Orig3n.
According to ESPN, the firm is “working to address questions from officials from the state of Maryland.” The company added that DNA Day will be “rescheduled.”
“We received an overwhelmingly positive response to the first-ever DNA Day, and we remain committed to our mission. Since 2014, we have been helping people understand the links between their genes and how their minds and bodies work through our DNA tests and community events,” a statement from the company said.
The game would’ve been the first time such tests were handed out at an NFL game. It was part of a multi-year partnership inked by Orig3n and the Ravens before the season.
