Here’s a follow-up on D.C. entrepreneur and social butterfly Brandon T. Luong, the would-be founder of a new #DMVStartup movement. His DMV Startup Squarespace wiki is officially launching on Tuesday. (It’s currently in beta.)
The site will feature profiles of the various startups and companies that make up the DMV startup space (that’s “D.C., Maryland, Virginia,” for the uninitiated). It will also offer some tips for funding and other very important matters (like good coffee shops to convene in). And then, there will be a great events calendar compiled in part from those curated by Christopher Breene (of Millenial Might) and Joseph Santoro, who is present (though often late) at more or less every event of the #DCTech variety.
Luong’s priorities with the site, he told Technical.ly DC via email, are the following:
1) Cultivate the startup community through events and workshops2) Attract and retain talent within the DMV3) 6,000+ pages on the wiki by the end of 20184) Listing of investment and funding sources for entrepreneurs
“If any readers would like to contribute by curating pages, I WILL GIVE THEM A BIG HUG!” Luong added. “We want to reach our goal of having 6,000 pages by 2018, which of course will have doubled by then as DC, VA and MD companies will be blowing up.”
And if you’re a local startup that wants a mention, you can fill out this form.
