DelawareBio had a bit of an image problem. In practice, it had become an influential life sciences organization, supporting innovative work in Delaware. Its website, though, didn’t exactly say “innovation.”
“The new website is much easier to navigate,” said Amanda Coates, DelawareBio’s new marketing manager. Coates, who grew up in Delaware, previously worked for Biocom Institute in San Diego for several years.
The rebranded DelawareBio site has four main areas of focus: Recent life science news, job opportunities, STEM community engagement and enhanced communication tools for the life sciences community.

The new site is more in line with current state of Delaware, which changed significantly after Coates moved away in 2008.
“It was exciting to come back and see all of these new innovative spaces and businesses,” she said. “It’s so different than it was when I left.”
