Work with a view: Inside Delaware’s oceanfront coworking space, CoWork Reho

The year-old Sussex County hub offers a unique work experience combining productivity and creativity, per founder Jared S. Bowers.

Beach-loving remote and hybrid workers: If you’re tired of the same old home office, take note of the new CoWork Reho on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk.

CoWork Reho, launched in late July 2022 by Southern Delaware native Jared S. Bowers, is a coworking space that aims to embody the idea that work is ultimately about people and ideas. With the influx of remote workers coming into Delaware (and its beaches), Bowers saw a need for a place where those professionals could work, and he imagines the space as one where local and traveling forward thinkers, innovators and creatives can meet.

The 6,400-square-foot workspace is located behind the dunes and offers an ocean view, so visitors can work with their toes in the sand and the sound of the waves as their background music. The space joins over a dozen other coworking spaces in Delaware but stands on its own as the only such space in Sussex County, according to the founder. (RIP to Beach Desks, the former Rehoboth Beach coworking space that closed in 2016.)

Bowers told Technical.ly the space attracts a diverse range of professionals and believes that multiformity creates opportunities for collaboration and transformation.

CoWork Reho sets itself apart from other coworking spaces by catering to a diverse group of workers. According to Bowers, the “modern design” of the space, featuring clean white walls and comfortable orange couches, appeals to marketers and social media creators who use it to film content. The founder says the space attracts everyone from those who are just visiting the beach for a week and need a temporary workspace, to snowbirds who spend half the year in the area and require a flexible membership that works with their schedule.

CoWork Reho offers common amenities such as 24-hour key card access, private phone booths, high-speed Wi-Fi, printing and shipping services. For those looking to host team meetings or virtual conferences, there is a conference room equipped with Smart TVs, conference phones with video capability, and glass dry-erase boards.

In 2023, day passes are offered for $50 per day or $150 per week to access the common spaces. Interested members should reach out to admin@coworkreho.com for monthly prices.
