DC Startup Week and Booz Allen Hamilton are celebrating local innovation with this daylong event

The event on Monday, Sept. 9, will highlight DMV-area entrepreneurs and feature a startup pitch competition.

DC Startup Week, the annual gathering of the startup community in the D.C. area, will see a daylong celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship hosted by Booz Allen Hamilton on Monday, Sept. 9.

The day will be packed full of sessions celebrating innovation, technology and entrepreneurship, and is taking place at Booz Allen’s D.C. Innovation Center.

“DC Startup Week is thrilled to have Booz Allen Hamilton on board as a major supporter this year and hosting a full day of programming at their Innovation Center will give Startup Week attendees a one-stop conference experience that showcases the very best of what the D.C. innovation community has to offer,” said Rachel Koretsky, lead organizer of DC Startup Week.

Designed to ignite solutions through collaboration and interdisciplinary engagement, the management and IT consulting firm’s Innovation Centers are designed to combine the best thinking from startups, commercial industry, academia and government to build original solutions and add new value.

“Through the Innovation Center, Booz Allen is already a keystone of the D.C. startup community, offering a fantastic venue for growing companies and entrepreneurs to meet, work and learn from each other as they grow the next generation of big ideas,” Koretsky said.

Technology is constantly changing the way in which we interact, see and evolve as a society. Hear from leading technologists and founders on how the emergence of AI could create and solve problems for us in the future.

Founder’s Pitch & Lunch

D.C. was recently ranked as the world’s top market for entrepreneurial talent. During the lunch hour, select founders will be able to give a brief pitch about their company and products.

Accelerating Innovation to Market Through the VC Lens

The panel will describe how the VCs and serial entrepreneurs are helping to bring innovation to market. The audience will hear from local investors and entrepreneurs on what they are seeing as investable businesses, gaps in the market, and opportunities the startup world and government should pay attention to.

Tech For Good, Connecting Corporate Values to Community Causes

Join us for an intimate opportunity to hear from corporate, philanthropic and government disrupters, on how leveraging technology, heightened social awareness and pure human capital, is driving greater impact locally.

How to change the world through innovation, diversity, and venture capital

Join for a conversation on the importance of using technology for a public purpose and the ways that it can make positively have a social impact.
