Technical.ly DC Diaries is back and for this second episode, I interviewed Lauren Maffeo, a civic tech service designer at SteamPunk.

To refresh you: This new video series will feature interviews with local founders, technologists and startup leaders. The conversations will be hosted by me, Technical.ly DC Market Editor Michelai Graham, and will explore various topics including how these folks got their start in technology or entrepreneurship and what keeps them going.

Everyone interviewed in this first season is featured on the inaugural RealLIST Connectors, a roundup of local leaders working to build the #dctech tech, entrepreneurship and innovation community by linking others with an eye toward future growth and inclusivity. If you missed the inaugural episode, check out my talk with Vinetta Project DC Director Dawn Myers.

This video series is a work in progress. To be more accessible, I added just an audio recording of the interview, along with the video version. I hope you enjoy the show and if you have any thoughts or questions about the series, feel free to shoot me an email at michelai@technical.ly.

In this latest episode Maffeo shares her experience starting a new job nearly a month ago during a pandemic and much more. She previously worked at working at global research and advisory firm Gartner for four years, most recently serving as associate principal analyst at GetApp, a global software recommendation subsidiary company.
