Cvent has big plans to hire 1,000 people

Cvent made a bold announcement about its plans for the next year on Friday.

The Tysons Corner, Va.–based company said it plans to hire 1,000 employees across multiple offices around the world.

According to the announcement, “many” (500, the Washington Business Journal reports) coming in the D.C. area. To make room, the company will be adding 75,000 sq. ft.  to its Tysons HQ, and is adding a total of 140,000 sq. ft. at all locations.

Founded in 1999 by CEO Reggie Aggarwal, the company makes software to manage meetings and events, as well as web surveys and email marketing. It currently has 3,000 employees. The company has continued to grow after being acquired by Vista Equity Partners for $1.65 billion in 2016. The big hiring round has already started.

Along with Tysons, the company has offices in Austin, Boston, Atlanta, Portland, Dallas, Draper, Utah, Fredericton, Canada, London, Singapore, Melbourne, Australia, and New Delhi. This year it plans to add offices in Dubai and Germany.
