Spaces is adding another D.C. coworking space in the Thomas Circle area.

Opening June 3, Spaces Thomas Circle joins the NoMa location as the second location within the city. The Amsterdam-based coworking company also has a few Virginia locations, including an office in the building that was previously home to Artisphere.

The new Thomas Circle location features 51,000 square feet of workspace and is equipped with a business club, dedicated desks and private offices. The location has a rooftop terrace and an on-site barista for all your caffeine needs. Spaces will also host networking events to help further develop meaningful connections.

“In addition to providing a creative and inspiring flexible workspace, Spaces is part of the IWG network of flexible workspace companies,” Michael Berretta, VP of network development for IWG, parent company of Spaces, told Technical.ly. “This means Spaces members have access to more than 60 million secure WiFi hotspots and more than 9,000 professional meeting spaces around the world.”

The company said the new space is outfitted with fast and secure WiFi, concierge-level services, meeting rooms and a coffee bar. Spaces members will also have access to Regus spaces, which has nine locations in D.C., since IWG is also its parent company and is extending its network. For public transit commuters, Spaces Thomas Circle is accessible via the 14th Street & L Street bus station and the McPherson Square metro station. Berretta said the space will also host TEDx Talks, which bring TED-style events hosted by community residents to Spaces locations worldwide as part of a global partnership.

“Every Spaces location, including the new Thomas Circle site, features amenities and services that ensure startups, small business owners and multinational corporations can focus on growing their companies without the distraction of office logistics,” Berretta said.

As of 2019, Spaces has nearly 60 locations, with plans to open more than 65 additional locations by year end. Berretta said the company has plans to open an Alexandria, Va., office in the second quarter of this year.
