Cofense launched a new product to combat phishing attacks

Leesburg, Va.–based cybersecurity startup Cofense, formerly known as PhishMe, recently announced the general availability of Vision, the company’s newest solution for protecting organizational assets from phishing attacks.

Vision can be used to reduce the risk of phishing attacks, enable security teams and quarantine unreported threats, the company said in a press release. With Vision, security operations center (SOC) and incident response (IR) teams can find and seclude phishing emails more quickly.

“Vision quickly identifies all recipients of complex phishing attacks and, with a single click, quarantines to remove the threat from all mailboxes,” Aaron Higbee, Cofense CTO said in a statement. “Vision, either in combination with Triage or connected with existing SOC tooling, will deliver immense productivity gains for SOC and IR teams, so they can execute their jobs efficiently and better protect the company.”

When the Cofense Phishing Defense Center did an analysis of two million emails in 2018, the department said that it found that one in seven suspicious emails reported by end-users are malicious and that 25,000 campaigns were hiding malicious files inside cloud services to avoid gateway detection. That’s why Cofense came up with Cofense Triage, a phishing defense solution suite that separates phishing attacks to allow you to respond to an entire cluster of emails with similar attributes versus responding again and again to individual messages.

Vision is now generally available for customers to integrate with Cofense Triage 2.1.
