Philly Game Forge-based video game developer Cipher Prime is relaunching Splice on PlayStation 3 and 4 on Jan. 20. The game, first released in 2012, was previously available on PCs, iOS and Android.
The game will be 20 percent off for the first two weeks of its release, according to a blog post authored by Cipher Prime creative director Will Stallwood.
“It’s been a childhood dream of ours for such a long time to release a game on a console,” writes Stallwood, “and Splice will be our very first.” Before you check out the game (if you haven’t played it already), go ahead and give the piano-heavy soundtrack a listen.
We mentioned this release back in October in a story on Deep Dark Hole, Stallwood’s other gaming venture. Looks like Philly is one step closer to being America’s indie game hub.
