Christiana Care Health System has officially joined forces with the Health Care Innovation Collaborative, meaning some nifty tech solutions could be soon coming to Delaware hospitals.
If you haven’t heard, the Collaborative is this coalition of universities, corporations and venture capitalists who want to see the Philly area as a health IT hub. Through Jan. 15, it’s collecting submissions of innovative healthcare solutions, some of which will be chosen as projects.
Christiana Care is the ninth partner to join the Collaborative.
Janice Nevin, Christiana Care’s CEO, said the organization is pumped to be a part of the coalition. “We look forward to the opportunity to design innovative solutions that will help our patients and their families achieve optimal health and an exceptional experience,” she said in a statement.
So far, the Collaborative has received 28 applications and is aware of 107 others in progress. Priority will be given to applicants whose ideas alleviate healthcare costs, benefit patients and positively impact a more socioeconomically disadvantaged population. Applicants will be notified if their ideas have been chosen in mid-March.
