Millennial Media cofounders Chris Brandenburg, left, with Paul Palmieri.

Chris Brandenburg, CTO of global mobile advertising firm Millennial Media, is leaving the company he cofounded with CEO Paul Palmieri a little more than one year after the company’s $132.6 million initial public offering.
In February, Technically Baltimore reported that Millennial was set to acquire Metaresolver, a mobile media buying platform based in San Francisco. The acquisition is now complete, and with it will come a “streamlining” of Millennial’s leadership team, according to a report on AdOperationsOnline.
EVP Steven Root will also be leaving Canton-based Millennial Media with Brandenburg.
As for Millennial’s acquisition of Metaresolver: the move seems like another piece in the firm’s strategy to snag an even greater share of the in-app advertising market, which is predicted to increase to $7.1 billion by 2015.
