Since we last reported on ChargeItSpot’s fundraising efforts last year, the charging station company has raised an additional $2 million, bringing its total Series A to $5.26 million.
Investors include local angel group Robin Hood Ventures, where investor Anthony Cambeiro is the point person for the deal, equity crowdfunding platform SeedInvest and Morristown, N.J.-based SoundBoard Angel Fund. ChargeItSpot CEO Doug Baldasare declined to share the names of other investors but said that one is the former COO of a large national retailer.
ChargeItSpot employs 30, 12 of which are full-time employees. The company plans to double both its full-time and part-time employee count in the next year, Baldasare said. Part-time staffers do work ranging from customer support, technical maintenance, graphic design and specialized R&D work. The team works in Old City’s Bourse building, where it moved earlier this year.
