Cambridge Innovation Center, the coworking space and business incubator for early-stage startups, is expanding from its location near Boston by opening similar innovation centers in St. Louis and Baltimore, as Technically Baltimore reported in January.
Baltimore’s innovation center will be at 873 West Baltimore Street near the University of Maryland BioPark. According to real estate consulting firm Cross Street Partners, the Baltimore-based innovation center will be about 44,000 square feet when construction is completed.
Wexford is the developer, and Cross Street plays an advising role.
The Cambridge Innovation Center in Massachusetts houses more than 500 companies, many of them startups, and provides companies office space, typical office amenities and access to a network of mentors, venture capitalists and fellow startup owners.
Right now the project has an estimated completion date of late 2014.
