Black artists and entrepreneurs are set to spend Saturday afternoon at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
The free event, called Creativity Exchange: Intersections Between Black Artists and Black-Owned Businesses, provides a chance for the creative community to meet and learn from each other. It’s runs 12-5 p.m. on Feb. 11.
During a panel discussion at 2 p.m., entrepreneurs will talk about their work and challenges they face. Panelists include Myrtis Bedolla of Galerie Myrtis in Old Goucher, Pierre and Jamyla Bennu of Exittheapple art space in Barclay, and Jay Jacksonrao, CEO of TNP Studios, a MICA entrepreneurship competition winner which produces The Nerdpocalypse podcast. (Check out their latest episode with Sparkypants.)
The event also has a storytelling workshop (which is currently full), and vendor fair featuring local jewelry, apparel, woodwork and body care products. Plus, there’s a networking reception catered by Dovecote Cafe.
