Canton-based Barcoding, Inc. is planting a flag north of the border.
The supply chain automation company is making an expansion under the name of Barcoding-Canada.

Along with the branding and social presence, the expansion will include three new offices in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, each led by experienced team members. Along with these offices, the company also has remote employees in the provinces where each of those cities are located, said Barcoding President Shane Snyder.
Barcoding sees Canada as a “fast-growing market with a high demand for our industry services,” Snyder said. The company already has clients in the country, and the new offices will allow it to support those clients with local representation, and open the way for new business. The expansion also can also help to eliminate any cross-border commerce issues.
It sees opportunity for three of its offerings that are designed to help businesses track items and make processes more efficient: data collection through barcodes and RFID, labeling and printing, and mobile computing technology.
The 20-year-old company made expansion moves in the U.S. in recent years, opening up offices in Seattle, Houston and Chicago. Along with a new country, the Canadian move also doubles the number of regional offices it operates.
