Chalfont, Pa.-based email marketing company AWeber is celebrating its 20th birthday by giving small businesses and nonprofits a shot at $20,000 to help them make a bigger impact.
The company announced Monday the launch of a contest called “Small Business, Big Impact Award,” which will let small businesses and nonprofits make their pitch on how a $20,000 prize would help them better serve their customers or transform society.
“Our main mission has been to help small businesses and nonprofits connect people in remarkable ways,” said Tom Kulzer, founder and CEO of AWeber. “This award is a way for us to not only celebrate an important milestone in our company’s history, but more importantly to reward the accomplishments of the incredible businesses and charities that we serve, and to help them make an even bigger impact in the world.”
Those wishing to enter the fray can submit an original written essay or a 90-second video describing their business or nonprofit, explaining how they “create remarkable experiences for your customers or audience” and how the business would put the cash to good use.
A panel of judges will then pick 20 finalists who will be whittled down to a single winner through online voting.
