For more than 30 years, Applied Insight has been designing solutions to help its federal government customers solve tech-oriented problems. With this contract, the company will offer its cloud platform-as-a-service, Altitude, to U.S. Cyber Command to help the government agency progress its adoption and migration of commercial cloud services.
“The cloud is an immensely powerful enabling capability. It hosts a rapidly evolving range of sophisticated commercial tools and technologies that government organizations want to be able to use,” said Dede Dascalu, Applied Insight’s CTO, in statement. “The challenge is to help them do that at the pace at which these technologies are evolving and in a carefully controlled and secure environment.”
Altitude is an automated and scalable digital platform designed to transform cloud management by allowing organizations to tap into a cloud’s full potential while having total control, compliance and visibility over the environment as it grows. The digital platform will be used for automated rapid cloud deployment and governance capabilities, a press release states.
Applied Insight will develop a secure and scalable cloud platform for the Command, as well as will oversee the platform’s migration and ongoing operation of the Command’s cloud environment.
This award contract with U.S. Cyber Command comes a month after Applied Insight won a $16 million task order from the U.S. Air Force to provide its Air Mobility Command with cybersecurity and information assurance services.
