The National Council in Agricultural Life and Labor (NCALL) has plans to develop a new commercial space in downtown Dover: a three-story, multi-use building called Division Street Offices that will include Delaware State University’s (DSU) new small business incubator.
In a press release, NCALL announced that the Longwood Foundation recently awarded the nonprofit a $400,000 grant for the development of the project, which will include space that is accessible to the community.
“There will be offices for Restoring Central Dover, a place for community meetings, Delaware State University’s small business incubator, and much more,” said NCALL Executive Director Karen Speakman.
DSU, which offers resources for area entrepreneurs through the Delaware Center for Enterprise Development, currently has a commercial kitchen incubator at the Bank of America Building on DSU’s Dover campus. Including the kitchen incubator, the new downtown incubator will be Dover’s third, including Kent County Emerging Enterprise Development Center located in the former Kent County Levy Court Administration Building.
