This Philly-based horror film is about ‘rectifying faith and fact’

Do you like Philadelphia? Do you like ghosts? How about indie movies? If you answered “yes” to all three, we’ve got a bit of news for you.
From the creators of “Alpha Girls: A Satanic Sorority Slasher,” comes indie-horror flick “American Exorcist,” a local production about a ghost hunter trapped in a skyscraper … on Christmas Eve.
South Fellini, the local comic/film studio founded by Tony Trov and Johnny Zito, will begin filming “American Exorcist” next month. The movie will star Falon Joslyn and feature a couple of creepy cameos from Scrapple.TV’s Jo Pincushion, who’s also helping produce the project.
The film is about “rectifying faith and fact,” said Zito. “We follow a skeptical ghost hunter who still believes. It’s like she wants it to be true, she’s aching for it all to be real, but all of her investigations prove otherwise.”
“American Exorcist” will be shot in an undisclosed Philadelphia office building. Filming will begin in February. But first, the project needs a bit of a financial boost for post-production efforts. South Fellini has just launched a Kickstarter with a crowdfunding goal of $15,000.
