AirPatrol Corporation is hoping 2013 will be a blockbuster year.
The Columbia-based cybersecurity firm, which specializes in location-based security for mobile devices, is zeroing in on closing an $8 million investment round in Q2, and hopes to hire 20 more employees to nearly double its current staff of 25, reports the Baltimore Business Journal.
Others have taken notice. AirPatrol won the Innovator Award at this year’s TechAwards, as Technically Baltimore reported. The company is also one of 33 semi-finalists competing for one of three $100,000 prizes in the InvestMaryland Challenge.
