A seed funding road tour is coming to Newark

On Aug. 20, it's your chance to meet a dozen federal agencies that can back your projects.

In need of seed funding? If you’ve got a plan ready, you’re not going to want to miss the Newark stop of the SBIR Road Tour on August 20 — and time is running out to register.

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) is the largest federal seed funding program for researchers and technology businesses in the country. Its Road Tour brings Federal funders from more than a dozen agencies, including the Department of Energy, the National Science Foundation and the Department of Commerce, for one-on-one meetings with entrepreneurs and researchers all over the country.

Hosted by the Delaware Small Business Development Center (SBDC), University of Delaware Small Business Development Center (UD-SBDC)the SBIR Road Tour will take place at The University of Delaware’s Clayton Hall, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A $50 registration fee gets you breakfast, lunch and access to valuable networking in addition to the one-on-one meeting opportunities.
