On the Market is a Technical.ly column where we highlight noteworthy job openings and the people who are lookin’. Got a submission? Email us and tell us why it belongs in the roundup.

When working in the startup world, the highs are high and the lows can be very low. It all comes with the territory and you, dear job seeker, should be ready to roll with the punches.

That said, if you’re looking for a new job, you’re probably looking to start out on a high.

And what better high is there, really, than the thrill of a brand new funding round? McLean, Va.-based ID.me, the venture-backed startup that’s developing a way for consumers to control their digital identities, just raised $19 million in Series B financing and is looking to scale up sales, marketing and product development.

In service of this, the company is hiring. Join as a front-end engineer to help work on the company’s “highly interactive customer facing web applications” or work on bringing the engineering team’s hard work into the marketplace as the director of product marketing.

Are you a passionate, experienced engineer? Have Hacker News or Coding Horror in your bookmarks? Contactually wants to hear from you. The 7th Street-based customer relationship management software company is hiring a senior backend software engineer (among other roles).

Herndon, Va.-based Upskill (formerly APX Labs) is introducing augmented reality to the manufacturing world. The 30-person-strong company helps those in manufacturing at companies like Boeing and Tesla do their work faster and with fewer mistakes. It’s pretty cool, and Upskill is hiring — join the team as a front-end engineer for Android.

Ever wished you could just pay your bar tab from your phone instead of waiting for the check? Meet Rooam. The early stage D.C.-born startup is live in a handful of area bars and we can confirm that the user experience is impressively streamline. Sound like an idea you’d like to help build? Rooam is hiring an iOS developer and a backend engineer. Find opportunities, and apply, here.
